Catholic Education South Australia Bus Transport Strategy

For some time, Catholic Education South Australia has lobbied to obtain better access to school buses for children attending Catholic schools in regional South Australia.

From 2021 the State Government committed $4 million over four years to subsidise transport costs for children who attend regional Catholic schools.

Catholic Education SA are allocating this funding directly to families who access a school bus service that is managed by the Catholic school, and who reside more than 5km from their nearest regional Catholic school. Subsequently, families will receive a discount of 60% of the annual cost of accessing the school bus, in addition to the subsidy that St Francis of Assisi College will provide.
